 Hello :)My name is Tara Lere, the director at East Range Academy. I am excited to be working with dedicated staff, hardworking parents, and ambitious students. I am looking forward to working in the brand new school building and increasing student achievement. I have been in the educational field for 23 years. I started as a health educator at Bemidji High School, but moved back to the Iron Range when I started a family. I started at ERATS in 2008 as a health teacher. I went back to college and added physical education to my license in 2015. I earned my master's degree from Capella University in Curriculum and Instruction and received a graduate certificate in Education Innovation and Technology in 2017. I earned my Superintendent's license in 2021. I am currently enrolled in Capella's Ph.D. Leadership in Education Administration program and I will have my Principal license and doctorate degree by 2024. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, waterfall hunting, nature photography, road trips, and gardening. I have two adult children and recently became an "empty-nester".
